Recently Governor Ralph Northam, in the state of Virginia, set in motion a way to report anonymously another person, business or church for the lack of social distancing or mask wearing. It is called a ‘Snitching’ form or as I call it plainly tattle telling. REALLY………Does this make anyone else outraged?
I had to ask myself what country was this when I found out this information, and rightly so. As an American citizen living in a supposedly ‘free world’ why on earth would I adhere to such a preposterous mindset and turn in my fellow American, because I think I have the right to do so. This is ABSOLUTELY ABSURD and here’s why!
In a country of unrest I fear people will take this ‘snitching’ form too far.
So many individuals are currently laden with hate and violence, which automatically gives reason to find fault with their fellow ‘brother,’ and turning them in to health officials has pure satisfaction.
It is a way to act self-righteously against another human being!
My goodness businesses of all kinds have just begun to open their doors to customers again, and now they want us to REPORT them. Why? So a local ‘mom & pop’ business will be put to end once and for all.
This MAKES me irate, anyone else?
A dangerous form released to a population of people who are already angry, what on earth was the government thinking.
Mark my words I absolutely refuse to report anyone, anywhere for any reason!!!!!
Stop to think before filling our the ‘snitching’ form do I have all my facts correct or am I seeing my own evil agenda being fulfilled anonymously.
Some businesses are struggling to make it financially, they DO NOT have time to babysit customers for failing to comply with social distancing standards or mask wearing.
After all grown-ups are the consumers. AND before you make a judgement call on your fellow American for not wearing a mask, ask yourself this maybe they have a medical condition or restricted airflow and are unable to properly cover their face.
Give people a break……..We all need one don’t we?
If you think churches are exempt, think again. Going to a religious establishment where the pastor/bishop/rabbi/leader controls families by telling them what they can or cannot do is NOT religious freedom.
And FYI Governor Northam himself signed the executive order which states, when participating in a religious ceremony mask wearing is optional. So reporting a church is unlawful. The snitch form would never hold much weight in a courtroom
Another reason I find this form to be a bunch of nonsense is because I feel it is pure manipulation on every level by the governor.
How dare he thinks he can control the tax payers who PAY HIS SALARY, mind you, and get away with this. I would not be surprised if he started paying people to be the ‘watchful eyes’ keeping track of those refusing to bow to social compliance!
If you find this not completely ludicrous, heaven help us all. Because I for one do not want to live with a distrust towards my neighbor.
This snitch form is morally and ethically WRONG. This. Is. Not. Justice.
There needs to be an uprising against it. The longer we are silent than those in power manipulate, deceive, and control the little people.
Looking over your shoulder in fear of being turned in, because you accidentally forget to wear a mask or a business is shut down for social distancing failure………this will no longer be the United States of America, but will be history repeating itself.
If you absolutely have to ‘snitch’ on a business, church or another fellow American then do it, BUT you better CONDEMN them to their face beforehand AND then fill out the form with your name PROUDLY ATTACHED.
DO NOT anonymously fill out this form with thinking you are self-righteous, because what goes around, comes around. In the end they will find fault with your cowardly behavior too!
